Plot Twist. A plot twist is a literary technique that introduces a radical change in the direction or expected outcome of the plot. It may change the audience’s perception of the preceding events, but never surprises the original author of the story.

If implemented in the story arc well, a plot twist always elevates the story, and provides an unsuspected path forward. 2020 presented an unpredictable and unforeseen plot twist for churches across the country.
