He frames courage not as the absence of fear but as moving forward despite it—“do it scared.” Using personal stories, from overcoming motion sickness on a flight to confronting spiders in a crawlspace, he illustrates how fear often causes us to retreat from opportunities, relationships, and growth. Drawing from the biblical story of Gideon, Samer emphasizes that God sees potential in us beyond our own awareness and provides strength and guidance when we feel inadequate. Courage, he explains, requires vulnerability, choosing conviction over convenience, and chasing calling over comfort. Ultimately, Massad urges listeners to step out in faith, take risks, and pursue God’s purpose, knowing that He equips us to succeed.

Key Takeaways:

  • Do It Scared: Courage is moving forward in the presence of fear, not waiting for fear to disappear.
  • Chase Calling Over Comfort: Prioritize purpose and conviction over convenience, even when uncomfortable or risky.
  • Trust God’s Strength, Not Your Own: Recognize personal limitations but rely on God’s guidance and presence to overcome challenges.
  • Step Into Vulnerability: Growth, impact, and authentic relationships require taking risks and embracing uncomfortable situations.
